Active Impact Investments Makes First Three Investments from $120M Third Fund
Active Impact Investments, Canada’s largest climate tech seed fund that invests in Canadian and U.S. early-stage climate tech companies, has announced it has made its first Fund III investments: Lumo, ThinkLabs AI, and a third Canadian investment that is currently in stealth. The firm has raised more than $70M in commitments for its third fund to date - moving towards the ultimate fund goal of $120M. With over $140M in assets under management, Active Impact Investments has mitigated over one million tonnes of CO2e through its portfolio companies and aims to see its third fund mitigate 10 million tonnes of CO2e on its own.

Tire Stewardship BC: 27,920 scrap tires to be used in 10 newly granted B.C. community projects
TSBC announced the 10 B.C. organizations that will receive TSBC grants to begin, or complete community projects that utilize B.C. recycled tires, including rubber surfacing for splash pads, playgrounds and accessible swings. Completed projects will be open to all members of the public and in total, 27,920 scrap tires will be used.

Half-Million-Dollar Playground Upgrade at École Roosevelt Park Community School is Complete with New Accessible Swing
Tire Stewardship BC (TSBC), an environmental not-for-profit group dedicated to the collection and recycling of scrap tires in British Columbia, announced that the playground accessibility upgrade at École Roosevelt Park Community School in Prince Rupert has been completed. The school received its final piece of equipment, an accessible swing, and was able to finish off the pour-in-place rubber surfacing, finalizing the playground for students.

DQ Miracle Treat Day benefits Children's Miracle Network Hospitals across Canada. Participating Canadian stores raised over two million dollars for Children’s Miracle Network on Miracle Treat Day in 2022, including $278,140 for BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, which is one of 13 Children’s Miracle Network hospital foundations.
