Kari Kylo (she/her)
Founder & Managing Director

Strategy is Kari’s strength, and her first objective is success for her clients. She only wins when her clients succeed. Therefore, she creates and implements PR strategies with this as her key objective.
Kari has 25-plus years of communications experience and a diverse portfolio of skills and areas of expertise. Since January 2007, she has owned and managed SOMA Public Relations. Services have included planning and executing global PR campaigns, managing internationally recognized festivals and events, and strategic planning and execution of internal and external marketing and communications plans.
In addition, Kari has over ten years of magazine publishing, editing and copywriting experience, and has produced an extensive amount of communications copy for numerous clients.
Kari began her journey in communications at PACE Group and DDB. From 2000 through to 2007, she worked at Brian Jessel BMW and Brian Jessel Ferrari/Maserati as the Marketing Manager. Over a seven-year period, Kari developed and managed innovative events and marketing programs that helped the company grow to be the top-selling BMW dealership in Canada.
Callandre Peters (she/her)
Senior Account Manager

Cal is a vibrant, results-oriented communications professional. Over the last seven years, Cal has worked with emerging and established organizations across the globe in the health and wellness, food and beverage, apparel and fintech spaces.
Recognized for her ability to lead cross-functional internal teams and manage external stakeholder relationships seamlessly, drive client business forward and solve meaningful problems. She has launched large-scale rebrand strategies and executed numerous events across North America.
Born and raised in Ontario, Cal moved out to the wild west coast in 2021 with her fiancé Aaron and their dog Kona. She currently lives on the North Shore and is happiest running or biking the trails with her family and friends.
Bridget Irwin (she/her)
Operations & Digital Specialist

Bridget’s education is the perfect combination of psychology and marketing. She attended UBC for her undergraduate degree in psychology and BCIT for the marketing management - marketing communications program. She has taken on roles throughout the past 8 years that have allowed her to gain valuable skills in marketing. Bridget is experienced in content strategy and creation, email marketing, analytics and reporting. Knowing about people and why they behave the way they do, as well as how to appeal to them, has allowed her to be successful in doing freelance digital marketing.
Bridget is passionate about photography and loves to go on road trips. She also cares deeply about sustainability and proactively incorporates new eco-friendly practices into her life. She was born and raised on the North Shore. In her free time, you can find her enjoying nature or baking something sweet. It’s all about balance!
Katie Donaldson (she/her)
Public Relations Coordinator

Katie is a recent graduate from Capilano University with a degree in Communication Studies. Her academic background has equipped her with a strong understanding of digital media, analytics, and copywriting. She combines these skills in order to help businesses craft compelling messages and analyze data in order to better connect with their audiences.
Katie has hands-on experience in creating engaging content and using data-driven insights to inform strategies. Whether it's writing persuasive copy, designing impactful campaigns, or interpreting analytics to drive decisions, she brings a thoughtful and creative approach to her work.
Katie currently lives on the North Shore and enjoys fitness, travel, and socializing.
Cayley Dow (she/her)
Talent Manager

Cayley has over 20 years as an HR executive primarily within the service and impact sectors. She is experienced in talent acquisition, learning and development, culture and employee engagement, and strategic executive support. In 2020, Cayley founded Thrivity HR, a consulting and coaching firm that helps service-oriented businesses to thrive in the ever-evolving world of work. Cayley is a certified Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) and is the recipient of numerous awards including the 2021 Leadership and Entrepreneur Award from the University of Guelph.
A nature lover and outdoor enthusiast, Cayley enjoys an active lifestyle with her husband and two children in the mountains of Squamish, BC where her free time is spent in the wilderness on bike, foot, and ski.
