Hometown Heroes Lottery tickets now on sale
VANCOUVER, BC (April 13, 2024) - VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation and the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund (“Burn Fund”) have announced the launch of ticket sales for the 2024 Hometown Heroes Lottery, available until midnight on July 11, 2024, or until tickets are sold out. Every ticket purchased contributes directly to supporting funds for essential services at VGH and UBC Hospital, GF Strong Rehab Centre, and Vancouver Community Health Services, while also backing Burn Fund initiatives aiding burn and trauma survivors province-wide. These initiatives include the Home Away program, mental health support services, and the annual Burn Camp for young survivors, all making a profound impact on the lives of those in need across British Columbia.

The 2024 Hometown Heroes Lottery presents ten grand prize options for the lucky winner, featuring luxurious homes situated in South Surrey, Vancouver, Courtenay, Sooke, Chilliwack, West Kelowna, Burnaby, and Langley, each valued from $2.4 to $2.5 million. Alternatively, the grand prize winner can opt for $2.2 million in tax-free cash. Moreover, participants stand the chance to win over $3 million in prizes, including daily cash prizes, a thrilling 50/50 jackpot, and a total of over 2,700 prizes up for grabs.
Hometown Heroes Lottery ticket prices:
Hometown Heroes Main Lottery – Three-pack of tickets for $75, seven-pack for $129, 21-pack for $300, and 40-pack for $500.
Daily Cash PLUS Game - 105 days of winning and $325,000 in total cash to be won with prizes distributed daily. The Final Friday Ultimate Cash prize has 3 winners of $25,000 each. Two-pack of tickets for $25, six-pack for $50, and 12-pack for $75.
50/50 PLUS Lottery – Maximum jackpot of $2.4 million. Winner takes half. Two-pack of tickets for $15, six-pack for $30, 20-pack for $60, and 40-pack for $80. Last year the winner took home $1,090,590 (half of the $2,181,180 Jackpot).
To encourage early ticket buying, there are 50 Early Bird prizes worth over $170,000. One Early Bird prize winner will have the option of choosing:
2024 Tesla Model Y and 2024 Kia Niro Electric Vehicle (EV) Wave, or
10 years of vacations plus $20,000 spending money, or
$125,000 cash.
Plus, 50 additional Early Bird winners will receive $500 cash each.
