The 2024 Choices Lottery launched today.

The annual lottery supports the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation and gives people a chance to win one of nine grand prize home packages or $2.3 million in tax-free cash.

An eventual lottery winner will have plenty of incredible homes to choose from and each come with several other perks like vehicles and thousands of dollars in gift cards.

Five of the grand prize home options are in the Lower Mainland, two are on Vancouver Island and another pair are in the beautiful Okanagan.

Those two lone BC Interior options are a home at Trailhead at the Ponds in Kelowna or the Glades Ski Villa at Big White Ski Resort.

The Kelowna home, located at 1131 Collinson Ct. in the Upper Mission, has three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a three-car garage, with a total square footage of 2,339.

Along with the home, the winner will also get $50,000 in furnishings, a 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron, a 2024 Crownline 200SS boat, an $8,000 MEC gift card, a $20,000 travel best bets gift card, gas and groceries for a year and $900,000 cash.

The entire package is worth over $2.6 million.

The Big White home, located at 4 Creekside Way, has three bedrooms and a studio suite, three bathrooms and a one-car garage, with a total square footage of 1,868.

It’s a prize package that also includes $50,000 in furnishings, a 2024 Cadillac Escalade, a $12,000 MEC gift cards, travel best bet gift cards, gas and groceries for a year and over $1-million cash.

“The proceeds from Choices Lottery directly support research initiatives at BC Children’s on-site Research Institute, helping accelerate the path to innovative treatments, new medications and cures for children in BC, the Yukon and beyond,” explains Malcolm Berry, president and CEO of the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.

“As 70 per cent of BC Children’s researchers are also health care professionals providing care in the hospital, life-changing discoveries can be brought from the laboratory bench, straight to a child’s bedside faster and more efficiently.”

Berry notes that support of the Choices Lottery helps fuel the quest to conquer childhood illnesses and could be the key to the next breakthrough.

The other grand prize home packages available, which you can check out at this link, are in Sooke, Courtenay, South Surrey, Langley, Burnaby and two in Vancouver.

People are also encouraged to buy tickets sooner than later, as there are 51 early-bird prizes available with a value of nearly $300,000.

“You might think your impact is small; however, your Choices Lottery ticket purchase could be what pushes the next medical advancement over the finish line,” Berry adds. “Thank you for getting us closer to crucial answers for our mighty kids and their families.”
