Transformation and growth for women’s and girl’s hockey.

Support for women's hockey is growing and attendance records are being broken across the nation. Young girls are showing an increased interest in the game, too.

For the first time ever, the North Shore Winter Club U13 girls A1 hockey team competed in the 64th annual U13 World Championships in Quebec City (described as hockey’s version of the Little League World Series).

“We're grateful that SOMA helped our Club amplify the U13 Winterhawks hockey team being the first female team to represent B.C. at the Quebec International Pee-Wee Tournament in February this year. They were one of twelve female teams to participate in this prestigious tournament, breaking new ground for female hockey in British Columbia. This sport, and these young female athletes, deserve the recognition.”

- TC Carling, Chief Operating Officer & General Manager, North Shore Winter Club
