CASE STUDY
Summer Ambassador Awareness Program
Tire Stewardship BC and Interchange Recycling have been at the forefront of environmental stewardship in British Columbia for decades. Both organizations wanted to come face-to-face with British Columbians this summer and tasked SOMA with developing a strategy. SOMA hired and trained two brand ambassadors and they hit the road for three months, traveling across the province to educate and spread the word about what these two organizations do to make British Columbia a cleaner place.
What We Did
From Vancouver Island, to the Lower Mainland to the Okanagan and beyond, the ambassadors travelled to 49 locations, visiting over 30 events, and 18 client locations (return-to-retailers and collection centres). The ambassadors educated the public at events about Tire Stewardship BC and Interchange Recycling, and were able to gather powerful insights from hundreds of British Columbians through branded surveys. The ambassadors also spoke with staff at return-to-retailer and collection centre locations, answering any questions they had about the programs and ensuring they were aware of the vast benefits for each.
The conversations they had, the questions they were able to respond to in real-time, and the misinformation they were able to quickly dispel face-to-face, proved to be invaluable for our clients.

“SOMA strategically planned, executed, and managed our summer ambassador program with ease. We were prominently featured at key events across the province for the entire summer, which allowed us to get directly in front of our target audience, answering their questions and creating deeper connections. Using their collective knowledge and expertise, the SOMA team found new and creative ways for us to connect with our audience and awareness of our program. We're thankful for their ongoing, dedicated efforts and look forward to working together again."

"We can't say enough about the invaluable work SOMA provided us with in developing and implementing our Tire Stewardship BC community outreach program. Their expertise and dedication were instrumental in helping us connect with the people of British Columbia and effectively communicate the essence of our scrap tire collection program, as well as our Community Grant programs. The Ambassador Summer Program allowed us to address the questions and concerns of our community, reaching our intended audience with precision. The SOMA team skillfully organized this program, which also gathered data for us. SOMA's delivery enhanced our outreach efforts and ultimately enabled us to achieve our objectives. We couldn't be more grateful for their outstanding work."
